We are excited to invite you to a pivotal gathering in our community—the Building Black Wall Street Mixer + Chat on May 22nd from 6-8PM at Byrd Barr Place. As part of our Summer of Soul Series - this event acts as a cornerstone in our ability to collectively cultivate a thriving Black business community in Seattle's Central District.

As we look at new ways to partner with community and business leaders throughout our City, we are thrilled to offer an environment that not only fosters networking but also facilitates crucial discussions around the economic empowerment and sustainability of Black-owned businesses. This gathering will bring together diverse stakeholders—from local entrepreneurs and business magnates to dedicated resource providers and community advocates—all united by a common goal to bolster and celebrate the ingenuity and spirit of the Central District to develop and strategize ways to actively participate in the current renaissance taking place in the community.

BWS Mixer Highlights:

• Inspirational Keynote: Be inspired by Lewis Rudd, CEO of Ezell's Famous Chicken as our Business Keynote, sharing invaluable insights into his journey of entrepreneurship as well as his vision, hope and dreams for the future of Black business in the area.

• Business and Resource Panels: Engage with leading voices in our business community, including Damon Brown of Communion R+B, Rodney Hines of Metier Brewing Company, Veronica Very of WOW Gallery, and Monika Matthews of Queencare. Gain perspective from our resource panel featuring representatives from the Seattle Office of Economic Development and the WA State Dept of Commerce.
